Lucille (Wilson) Cargill, 97, of Irving, Texas, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on May 8, 2017, after a short illness.
Lucille was born September 5, 1919 in Stranger Community - Falls County Texas, where she grew up and eventually, met and married the love of her life, Arthur Ray Cargill, in 1938. They raised two sons together that grew into 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Lucille made a career out of her love of math, working in accounting for several companies until her final retirement at 81. She spent her last working years as the financial secretary at Calvary Baptist Church in Nacogdoches, TX. When she wasn't working she was sharing her faith in Jesus with young people at her church, or enjoying time with her family and sports. Ever prayerful, her ultimate goal, was that her family and friends would be healthy, happy, well educated, and would have a personal relationship with God.

Lucille was not only a beloved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, friend, mentor and matriarch, but a strong guiding light for her family. She embodied the philosophy that "God and family come first" and she instilled this in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren through her deep knowledge of the Bible and genuine love for all. Lucille enjoyed traveling the world with friends and spending time with her family. Near or far she shared a deep love with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her vitality and joy was ever present and a great comfort and inspiration to everyone. It was an amazing 97 years.

Lucille is survived by her son, Bobbie Cargill, five grandchildren; James Cargill and his wife Nancy, Keith Cargill and his wife Patsy, Jana Cargill Wallace and her husband William, Kenneth Cargill and his wife Angela, Kristina Cargill Atwood and her husband Brent. She is also survived by her twelve great grandchildren; Crystal Cargill, Sarah Cargill, Collin Wallace, Blake Wallace, Timothy Cargill, Megan Wallace, Matthew Wallace, David Cargill, Callie Cargill, Fallon Finnigan, Austin Drawbond and Alli Shelton; great-grandson, Cody Naiser.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Franklin Wilson and Addie Hardy Wilson; husband, Arthur Ray Cargill; son, David Ray Cargill and daughter-in-law, Karin Cargill.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the Adams Funeral home in Marlin, TX with internment following Hillcrest Cemetery.
