Juanita B. (Jenkins) Mortimer, 97, of Marlin, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Adams Funeral Home with the Reverend Michael Estep officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 ''' 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 1st at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mortimer was born on July 23, 1917 in Durango, Texas to Claude and Abby (Vinson) Jenkins. She married Clifton Mortimer on January 13, 1941 and they celebrated over 57 wonderful years together...

Mrs. Mortimer was born on July 23, 1917 in Durango, Texas to Claude and Abby (Vinson) Jenkins. She married Clifton Mortimer on January 13, 1941 and they celebrated over 57 wonderful years together until his death on June 2, 1998. Mrs. Mortimer graduated from Lott High School and owned and operated Juanita's Beauty Clinic for over 50 years; she enjoyed her clients and the beauty shop gossip even though she often had to get the hairbrush after the grandkids. She enjoyed cooking for her family and family get togethers. Mrs. Mortimer was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Marlin. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister; Claudine Jenkins and a brother; Brigadier General Cecil Jenkins.

Survivors include her son; Ross Mortimer and his wife, Jenny, daughter; Beth Alston and her husband, Keith, brother; Marshall Jenkins and his wife, Winnie, sisters; BettyJo Nix and her husband, Johnny and Janice Lane, grandchildren; Jeremy Mortimer and his wife, Lisa, Rocky Mortimer and his wife, Lindsy, Wesley Mortimer, Whitney Rhodes, Chelsea Lewis, Kymber Shaw, Tanner Shaw and Tyler Thomas and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
